Mufti Mohammed Ali Appeals for Discipline and Respect During Eid Milad ProcessionsDate: 24 August 2026Hubli, KarnatakaMufti Mohammed Ali, Chairman of the Urdu Academy, Government of Karnataka, has appealed to the Muslim community to maintain the respect, discipline and dignity of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions.Speaking about the proper conduct of Milad processions, Mufti Mohammed Ali said that there should be no DJ dancing, inappropriate music or activities that go against the dignity and adab of the procession.He emphasized that Muslims should maintain the adab and respect of the Milad procession and ensure that no one is inconvenienced or disturbed because of the celebrations.He also appealed to people to give priority to Namaz. If the time for prayer arrives during the procession, people should stop and offer Namaz and then continue with the procession.Mufti Mohammed Ali said that Muslims are the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and should follow the teachings of the Prophet by showing respect, discipline, peace and consideration towards others.He urged everyone to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ with peace, respect, spirituality and responsibility, while ensuring that nobody faces inconvenience because of the procession.
