Date: 16 September 2026 Hubli, Karnataka Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner Bhusan G. Burse IPS has issued a press note regarding the use of DJ sound systems during the ongoing Ganesh festival.According to the police, the Supreme Court’s orders and guidelines regarding sound levels must be strictly followed during Ganesh idol installation and immersion processions.However, police have registered six cases against violations involving excessive DJ sound.Out of these six cases, one case has been registered in Hubli and five cases in Dharwad.Police said that legal action has been taken not only against the DJ owners, but also against those who were operating the DJ systems in violation of the prescribed rules.The Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner has also issued a strict warning that further violations of the law will result in additional legal action.The police have appealed to Ganesh festival organizers and the public to follow the Supreme Court guidelines, maintain proper sound levels, and celebrate the festival peacefully and responsibly.This is HDMC News, Hubl
